Statistical Data will be anonymised by Research and CODEX Division staff and published on gov.ie. <ol style="margin-top: 0.0in;" type="1"><li>Legal basis: </li></ol>Art 6 (1) (e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. <ol style="margin-top: 0.0in;" type="1"><li>Recipients:  </li></ol>Personal data collected from call proposals will be processed in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations. The purpose of the collection and processing of this data is the management, payment and verification of Call applications. Data will be shared amongst staff in the Division and externally with our software provider, SmartSimple Software Ireland Limited. The Department may also elect, where necessary, to share relevant information with collaborating partners and relevant funding institutions. You will be advised of any changes to these arrangements that arise. <ol style="margin-top: 0.0in;" type="1"><li>Transferred outside the EU:  </li></ol>Data will be shared externally with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Northern Ireland (DAERA).  Standard Contract Clauses are in place between the Division and DAERA NI. <ol style="margin-top: 0.0in;" type="1"><li>Retention Period:</li></ol>Due to the importance of these research projects personal data for those parties involved in successful projects will be retained in line with a National Archives Office decision. For all unsuccessful projects the personal data will be retained for seven years.The data collected for this purpose will be held by the Department only as long as there is a business need to do so in line with the purpose(s) for which it was collected.
